If you like the taste of french fries, you'll love the spanish tortilla. When made correctly, the spanish tortilla is a delicious half-inch thick "cake" of fried potatoes mixed with fried eggs and onions. Our family is particularly fond of cranberries. This time of year there are some great deals on them. What we do is, buy more than we need bunch and just toss the extras, bag and all, into the freezer. I also have a killer recipe (actually it's the missus') for cranberry apple crisp, if anyone is interested?

Hamilton, Nice choice of films. I agree having a distinctly regional filmmaker is a real asset to the New England. It's a much better voice than the cookie cutter Hollywood films. Have you checked out some of the local film festivals? They seem to be doing a good job of supporting local filmmakers. The upcoming New Hampshire Film Festival comes to mind.

I think Jay Craven's films, "Where the River Runs North" and his latest "Disappearances" are quite good. There are not big Hollywood productions, but he has found something unique about New England. I like it when a film shows you something new, maybe in a different light or perhaps, just small slice of life with a truth buried inside it. Whatever it is Craven is an under recognized artist.

Fascinating interview with the author of CAPE WIND. It's the story of a proposed wind farm off Cape Cod which was squashed by the political finesse of wealthy local waterfront homeowners (Kennedy family, Mellon family, etc.), using tactics including the organization of concerned community groups (individuals hired to pose as concerned citizens to oppose the eco-friendly energy source). Mitt Romney comes off particularly poorly in this scenario. Americans should become aware of this corrupt element prevalent in today's political system.
