It's an enormous industry attempting to get you to buy into the 'princess' wedding and the 'perfect' day. They promote ideas like 3 months wages is what you should spend on an engagement ring. It has gotten so bad that the average wedding cost $28,000 just a year or so ago. </p> <p>The recession has changed a lot of that. In 2009 wedding budget will shrink another 12% over last years 10% reduction.
