5 Best Heart Attack Foods

When it comes to foods that are bad for you, it seems human creativity knows no bounds. It also seems that marketing maven have no morality. Who cares if the nation is getting obese or that the cost of a nation of fatties will out strip the gross national product of many countries in the world. It it's salty, loaded with fat, and simply bad for you then we're going to make it, promote it and hopefully sell a enough to make some skinny guy rich.

Here then are five of the worst/best food ideas to come down the candy land chute in some time.

The Hot Dog Pizza

You know those pizzas with the cheese inside the crust? Well, that's pretty bad, but not as bad as this new entry from Pizza Hut, United Kingdom version. It is a pizza with a hotdog embedded into the crust. A hot dog pizza with all the trimmings. You can add pepperoni or sausage or something else that will raise your glycemic blood index to astronomical levels. Enjoy it now, because a steady diet of these babies will have you seeing a cardiologist with in a nano second. One wag wondered whimsically that the saddest thing about the hotdog pizza was that it was dreamed up by someone who was NOT an American.

Burger King's Bacon Sundae

Burger King's latest TV ads show David Beckam looking dreamy as he orders a health smoothie. Not even going into the homosexual undertones of this ad, the health kick BK is promoting is undone in one massive salty, sugary mess. In Nashville, the chain is experimenting with The BACON SUNDAE. Yes dear heart, it is a your typical ice cream delight with bacon strips wedged inside the ice cream like so many chocolate pretzels. Just think, you can scoop out the chocolate covered ice cream with a crispy slice of bacon and lick it down. Hmmm, Hmmm, good.

The Waffle Burger

Not sure about you but waffles are rarely eaten in our household. The combination of While local Southern California fast food chain Bruxie prides itself on the "bold fold" waffle sandwich, their waffle burger really elevates the salty-sweet combination to strange levels. The re-engineered classic tucks Angus beef, cheddar, mayo, tomato, and lettuce into a fluffy, gourmet Belgian waffle; syrup optional. Order a side of waffle fries for the full experience.

The Krispy Kreme Doughnut Hamburger

It's hard to pinpoint exactly which element puts the Krispy Kreme burger over the top and maybe that's the point. This dinner-dessert combo uses two glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut in lieu of buns to grip a hunk of hamburger, cheese, and all the trimmings. If you can't get to a state fair for this treat, Paula Deen has, naturally, come up with her own recipe, dubbed the "Lady's Lunch Burger."

The Fried Cheese Melt

Denny's has never been known for its culinary adventuresome. Mostly Denny's is known for its archaic attitudes towards people. So it came as a surprise that the restaurant chain that bills itself as "America's diner" developed a specialty sandwich aspires to cause heart attacks. It's the Fried Cheese Melt. It's four mozzarella sticks and melted American cheese grilled between two slices of sourdough bread then fried. Oh, it does come with a side of marinara sauce.

Sit back. Grab these babies, then grab your chest as your heart gives out.
