I never needed eyeglasses until later in life. When I did finally get them I would vigorously clean them, which means I scratched them. Finally I learned the best way to clean them is to run some warm tap water on them. Put a small drop of dishwashing liquid on them and then clean. Rinse, and dry carefully and softly. Never use paper towels, toilet paper or Kleenex as they contain harsh abrasives that will scratch your lenses.

You can also make fill a small spray bottle with 3/4 rubbing alcohol and 1/4 water. Put in a few drops of dish soap. Spray both sides of each lens and rub clean with a soft cloth.

Did you know that "https" on a url means a secure site?

Does your best friend have bad breath. I am not talking about the two legged best friend, but the four legged one. Dogs can have bad breath, too. If so try feeding them some raw carrots. It should help. If bad breath persists, your dog may have a dental problem.s

A apple a day is a truism, but eat the whole apple, skin and all. The skin has twice the antioxidants as the rest of the apple.

Grind up a cup or so of rice in a coffee grinder to clean the grinder and sharpen its blades.

Consumer Reports reports those shower self-cleaning gizmos don't work. The best way to clean hard water spots and scum off of showers is to use undiluted, gently heated white vinegar. Put it in a spray bottle, spray on and let soak 15 minutes. Using a nylon-covered sponge, apply a mild abrasive (dry borax) and scrub. For really stubborn problems use a dry, soap-filled steel wool pad on a dry shower. Don't use water in this process.
If that fails, hire a maid.
